Beyond the Stands “The ultimate dance competition” was founded August 2012 and is currently the largest and only dance competition in the state of South Carolina. The show debuted April 25th, 2015 to a sold out crowd. The upcoming Fall show for 2015 will take place September 26th at the Brookland Health and Wellness in West Columbia, South Carolina and you know DiamondKesawn and Raynbow Affair Magazine will be in attendance. Over 25 teams From New York, Ohio, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina have registered to compete in this event. This will be EPIC!Purpose
The purpose of the show is to showcase the many talents that the members of the competing teams have on and off the field and “Beyond The Stands.”Beyond The Stands mission is to promote a family oriented and a fun energetic show. While highlighting 2 key components; Community Service & Academics.
As part of the show, we ask each coach to submit an essay, transcript and college acceptance letters of one deserving dancer off their team. This dancer MUST excel on the dance floor, in his/her community as well as in school. One deserving dancer will receive a “Beyond The Stands” Monetary scholarship that can be used at the college of their choice.

** Only the top teams will move on to compete in the Stand Battle. In ordered to be selected as the Grand Champion, you must compete in all categories**
I got a chance to speak with the creator of “Beyond The Stands,” Robert, and he had this to say on what lead him to start the amazing event, “I created this show as an outlet for young dancers to express themselves through art while competing in a little friendly competition. The more positive avenues our generation has the less negative situations they will find them self in.
When it comes to the Name DiamondKesawn, it truly speaks for itself. Born Kesawn Cooper, in conjunction with the fact that he is known to be a girl's Best friend aka Diamond; you get the Birth of DiamondKesawn.
